NAWBO Announces 2008-2009 Board of Directors

Each year a Nominating Committee works to slate candidates to fill the vacancies on NAWBO's Board of Directors. These candidates are committed and capable leaders, strategic thinkers and successful collaborators. The Nominating Committee reviews candidates through their nomination forms, telephone conversations with candidates and references, and face-to-face meetings. NAWBO is filled with many dedicated leaders and coming up with a final slate was not an easy task for our Nominating Committee.

Following the posting of the proposed slate, no petitions were filed within the petition period. According to NAWBO bylaws, the slate has been deemed elected by the Election Committee. Please join me us congratulating the following members who were elected to serve two year terms for the 2008-2009 board:

  • Evelyn Strange (re-elected)
  • Laura Yamanaka

NAWBO thanks all members who applied for a position on the NAWBO's Board of Directors for their leadership service to NAWBO...because together, we can propel women entrepreneurs into economic, social and political spheres of power worldwide.
