NAWBO’s Kelly Scanlon Is Named Women’s Business Champion for Region VII of the Small Business Administration
What does it mean to be a Women’s Business Champion? It means you successfully impacted your community by promoting the efforts of women business owners. It means you’re recognized for your achievements. It means you’re Kelly Scanlon.
Scanlon is the owner of several media products dedicated to advocating small business and helping business owners grow their companies. She’s also the owner and publisher of Kansas City Small Business, a publication that profiles successful small business owners and advocates their accomplishments. Her organization also has three Web sites, a weekly electronic newsletter, a series of annual Thinking Bigger Guides for Entrepreneurs and, to top it off, she hosts a weekday radio show called “The Business Hour.”
Scanlon was recently recognized as the Women’s Business Champion of Region VII of the Small Business Administration (SBA). Kansas City Small Business will be publishing a special section on the SBA in its May issue. For more information, click here.
