Best Practice: Shared Staff Member

Chapter: NAWBO Louisville

Goal: NAWBO Louisville shares their administrator with the Louisville Chamber of Commerce so that they have a “full time” person with a “real job” that can be reached during the day by phone, email, and fax.
 
Implementation: NAWBO Louisville has partnered with the Louisville Chamber of Commerce to find one person to handle both their administrative positions. Having a full time person streamlines the administrative help for the chapter and enables them to utilize their volunteer’s talents instead of flooding them with administrative tasks.   

Results: The chapter has found several benefits from this practice. including having a central contact for the chapter helps them be more productive. It has also given them more credibility in the business community.
