Best Practice: Leadership Development in Board Meeting

Goal: As a way to create loyalty and energy within the chapter, NAWBO Dallas/Ft Worth uses part of their meeting time to hold an educational session.
Implementation: The first twenty minutes of each NAWBO Dallas/ Ft Worth chapter meeting consists of an educational lesson on leadership. The chapter says it is their way to give back to their volunteers for all the work that they do.
Results: NAWBO Dallas/ Ft Worth found that the members really do enjoy these sessions. It helps to get the meeting off on the right foot by creating a great energy. The members also feel like they are appreciated which creates loyalty.
