Best Practice: Corporate Partner Exclusivity

Goal: As a way to increase corporate sponsorship, NAWBO Broward County/Ft. Lauderdale started having one corporate partner for each industry and giving them more exposure.
Implementation: NAWBO Broward County/ Ft. Lauderdale gives their corporate partners industry exclusivity by having only one corporate partner per industry. In other words they do not have more than one bank, law firm, pharmacy, etc. as one of their sponsors. This gives the Corporate Partner more recognition from the chapter.
The chapter also gives their partners a substantial amount of exposure. For example, each corporate partner has the opportunity for advocating in a newsletter. They also have an annual Corporate Partner dinner.
Results: Having exclusivity when it comes to Corporate Partners has proven to be quite beneficial for Broward County/ Ft. Lauderdale. The chapter now has more Corporate Partners than they had in the past. The partners are also paying $500 or more per year than they did in the past.
