Originally from Albany, New York, Lorin Beller Blake now resides in Austin, Texas. In 2000, Ms. Blake sold a $3 million dollar Internet company and worked for the acquiring firm, but found working for someone else after having her own company just did not have the challenge that ownership did. In 2001, she launched her own business again. The Big Fish Approach was written up nationally by Investor’s Business Daily in 2004, who described her work as: ‘a Zen approach to business.’ In 2005, Ms. Blake was recognized as Entrepreneur of the Year by her Local Chamber in Albany NY.


She is the author of “From Entrepreneur to Big Fish: 7 Principles to Wild Success,” a book that assists entrepreneurs in thinking about the big picture for their business. More recently, she contributed to another book entitled “Roadmap to Success,” along with several other authors including Stephen Covey.


Ms. Blake describes Big Fish Nation as a yearlong program exclusively for business owners who are ready to be radical, edgy, successful and have wild fun at work and life again, the program integrates ‘hard core business skills with a spiritual approach to success.’ A big fish is defined as an awakened entrepreneur that is wildly successful and has a lifestyle that creates room to live life too; A big fish always attracts more big fish; self-actualizing people.


Ms. Blake has been a featured speaker for Sales & Marketing Executives International (SMEI), the internationally known Young Entrepreneur Organization (YEO), Canada’s Women in Business National Expo, NAWBO’s Keynote address for Pittsburgh’s Ginormous day, as well as keynotes for large Chambers, eWomenNetwork, NAWBO chapters all over the United States.  She is a co-host on the most listened to show on Voice America Women’s program:  Kathryn Zox Radio show.
