On the Horizon

Next year at about this time, we’ll be hosting the Women’s Business Conference in San Diego, California. For our members, it’s a key event that not only allows them to step out of their businesses for a few days and strategically think about the future, but to also listen to inspirational speakers, attend workshops and network with one another to connect with new opportunities, advice and support.

I’m excited at the prospects of this upcoming conference, especially in the context of where we hope our members, organization and economy will be at that time.  In the next several months, not only will our organization be looking at ways to continuously support our members, but also to further our chapter growth as well as advocate for opportunities and legislation that will benefit our members.

Another way that NAWBO is working to support our members this coming year is with a strategic partnership with the Futurallia 2011.  This conference is the largest gathering of business owners and entrepreneurs and will be held in Kansas City this year. This business forum offers participants 15 personalized 30-minute, one-on-one meetings in two days, which they pre-select from the official online catalog of key decision makers who represent as many as 40 countries. We’ll be sending our members more information about this event, and how they can participate at a discounted rate, in the coming weeks. In the meantime, if you haven’t yet joined NAWBO and want to take advantage of this opportunity, click here.
