NAWBO Poised to Effect Positive Change and Growth

It has been said many times that a company is either growing, or it’s dying—there’s nothing in between. When the market is soaring, growth comes externally, in the form of sales and revenue. When the economy takes a hit, a company’s emphasis is instead, on besting internal operations, furthering quality processes for greater efficiency and refining strategy to gaining market share rapidly when the turnaround occurs.

NAWBO’s philosophy is no different. As our organization celebrates its 35th year striving to represent what has now become over 10.4 million women-owned businesses nationwide, our quest has taken yet another turn. The past two years have been devoted to refining strategy, communications and goals, while still providing valuable membership advantages. Now that the economic turnaround has begun, NAWBO is poised to effect positive change and growth for our organization and our members. One woman and one business at a time, NAWBO can speak with one voice; louder and clearer than ever before. NAWBO’s goals to achieve greater member diversity, more targeted advocacy, broader international strength, and increased penetration into the Gen X business world are all coming to pass. It’s time for NAWBO to use our power to show what one organization can do…when one woman at a time steps forward to power her dream.

This year’s “Power of One” Women’s Business Conference 2010 celebrates this next level of growth, honors the NAWBO legacy that makes it possible and provides insight into how every woman-owned business can excel. At this conference, perhaps more than at any conference in our 35 years, one woman, one business and one voice really will make a difference. As we celebrate the “Power of One” at our upcoming conference, let’s welcome the opportunity to see our businesses and our organization grow. Our best days are yet to come and we hope you’ll join us for the journey.
