December 2017 Chapter Updates | NAWBO
NAWBO Dallas/Ft. Worth Year in Review
At the end of each year most business owners reflect on the things they've accomplished or didn't accomplish and create new goals for the upcoming year. As I look back on 2017, NAWBO D/FW has made significant strides towards becoming the premier organization for women business owners in the area. The strategic goals we accomplished this year are:
  • Increased the chapter's profitability
  • Became a 4 Star Chapter
  • Increased social media followers by 32%
  • Increased membership by 36.4%
The highlight of the year was our inaugural Propel Her Conference held in October. It was a one-day event that focused on exposing WBOs to opportunities to do business with local government and corporations.

Looking Ahead
Although we've made some progress, we still have a way to go. As we move into 2018 we will continue to grow our chapter and improve the value of your membership by:
  1.  Launching a new and updated website
  2.  Developing new partnerships with organizations such as Bill J. Priest Innovation Center and Women Enterprising Magazine
  3.    Offering members more local benefits to help them achieve business goals
    1. Marketing our member businesses through member showcase tables at monthly events and member spotlights and blog contributions on our website
    2. Member presenters on webinars
Our vision is to propel the women business owners of DFW to their next level of success. Help us improve. Take a few minutes and provide us with feedback on how we can better serve you in 2018. Click here http://conta.cc/2oOF9Wa.
