A Word from our President |
![]() ![]() Spring Fever!
It's that time of the year when the weather is starting to get warm and we feel restless as spring arrives. There are still a lot of important things to do before the summer gears up, like our Spring Membership Drive! We have 77 Women Business Owners as members of the chapter. Help us round up a few Good WBOs by inviting two potential members to our April 24th mixer sponsored by Frost Bank.
Our 2017-2018 fiscal year is coming to an end, and that means we have open board and committee positions available for premier members to serve. When you serve on the board for NAWBO/DFW, you bring your knowledge, energy, and expertise to the table to support an organization whose mission is to propel women entrepreneurs into economic, social and political spheres of power worldwide. Our focus is on servant leadership, public policy advocacy, and developing strategic programming to support the growth of complex businesses.
Serving on our board is something that can not only benefit the organization but you as well. Serving as chapter president has been a rewarding experience and has helped me grow personally and professionally. I've made new life-long friends, seen a significant increase in my business and most off all, supported a national organization that advocates for women in business.
If you are ready to lead, serve, and grow as a woman business owner, I encourage you to contact Immediate-Past President, Janie Stubblefield at janie.stubblefield@gmail.com to learn about opportunities available.
Wishing you much success in 2018!
