Dear NAWBO Sisters,
Thank you for being apart of an organization that strives to propel women forward. During our spring membership drive we gained 23 new members, thanks to our partnership with Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses. We are looking forward to having their Alumni members as part of the chapter. This month our luncheon speaker, Leo Cardenas, share with us 5 Steps to a Power Handshake and demonstrated how to do it with some of the attendees. Also at our May luncheon we voted on our new board members for 2018-2019. Come and meet them on June 14th at our monthly luncheon. We have a few open spots left if you are interested in serving on the board. Your 2018-2019 board members are:

National Opportunities
There are two great opportunity for members from a national level. The Sharapova Women's Entrepreneur Program will select six Women Business Owners in partnership with the NAWBO Institute for Entrepreneurial Development. All applications must be received by May 30, 2018. This 12-month program includes virtual mentorship, peer support, monthly mastermind and an education component. The next opportunity is the 2018 Woman Business Owner of the Year, sponsored by Bank of America. The Woman Business Owner of the Year Award recognizes and rewards an entrepreneur who excels at strategy, operations, finances, problem solving, overcoming adversity and giving back to her community. It's not based on business size, but rather overall business excellence. Deadline is May 30th. Go here for more information and to nominate someone.
