Grab your chapter’s 2023-2024 leadership team—including both incoming and returning chapter leaders—and join us in person for a day filled with tools, resources and connections to set the stage for your success in the year ahead. 

You read that right: leadership team. We know that running a successful chapter takes a village, so we’re inviting yours to participate in this first-ever onboarding event for all chapter leaders across the country.

One complimentary registration per chapter is provided (your chapter should have received a promo code for this; if not, please email tchagnon@nawbo.org).

All additional registrations are $75/chapter leader. There will be a $50 processing fee for registration cancellation requests received beginning May 15, 2023.

Sherrie Barr Mack

Co-Founder & Managing Member, The MackBarr Group, LLC

Sherrie is a public affairs strategist, corporate and political communications practitioner and financial literacy and consumer protection advocate. A third-generation business owner, Sherrie is co-founder and managing member of The MackBarr Group LLC, a public affairs firm located in Buffalo, New York. The MackBarr Group provides guidance in addressing social and financial issues impacting organizations and the community at large, organizational strategy and speech preparation. Sherrie began her public affairs career as public affairs manager for her mother’s industrial and safety supplies company, Upward Mobility Enterprises. The CEO retired and closed the company, but Sherrie continued doing public affairs work as a publicist and advocate. Sherrie is a past president of NAWBO Buffalo Niagara, Advocacy committee chair and founding member of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Task Force. She is also a member of the National Advocacy committee. Sherrie currently serves as Chair of the Presidents Assembly Steering Committee.

Karen Bennetts

Founder & Owner, Little Red Bird

Karen is founder and owner of Little Red Bird, a brand development and strategic creative services firm that helps companies discover and express their brand voices through creative communications. LRB supports organizations in segments such as education and non-profits, retail, financial services, healthcare and construction. Karen delivers brand and creative strategy development, and oversees day-to-day project and fiscal management, media planning and buying and research for the firm’s clients. Prior to founding Little Red Bird in 2008, Karen led her own marketing consulting firm and has served in senior roles in advertising firms in Charlotte, North Carolina, Rochester, New York and New York, New York. Karen serves as the new Immediate Past Chair of the National Board of Directors for the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), is past president of the NAWBO Charlotte Chapter, and past chair of the National Presidents Assembly Steering Committee.

Jill Calabrese Bain

Managing Director for the Small Business, Specialty Banking & Lending Division, Bank of America

Over her 30 years with Bank of America, Jill has held many leadership positions across the company, including positions in Consumer & Small Business Banking, Wealth Management Banking and Corporate Banking. She currently serves as a managing director for the Small Business, Specialty Banking & Lending division, responsible for critical business initiatives dedicated to the economic mobility of the clients and communities we serve. Jill serves as the co-chair of Bank of America’s Domestic Violence Taskforce and provides leadership support to several women’s initiatives, including the Bank of America Institute for Women’s Entrepreneurship at Cornell University and the Bank of America Global Ambassadors Program.

Meggan Ciaccia

Ciaccia CPA, P.A. & Co-Owner, Beyond Strategy Partners

Meggan is owner of Ciaccia, CPA, a certified women-owned business. With almost 20 years of diversified accounting experience, she enjoys the variety of work she does with so many different clients, and especially loves helping clients reach their business and personal financial goals. Megan is a licensed CPA in New Jersey and a Chartered Global Management Accountant. Meggan partnered with two other women in 2021 to form Beyond Strategy Partners, a consulting firm that focuses on strategic growth.

Lisa Coppola

Managing Partner, The Coppola Firm

Lisa is principal of The Coppola Firm, a full-service law firm in Buffalo, New York. Among other areas, Lisa and her team partner with clients in business planning, litigation, human resources and personal injury law. Her law firm offers engaging and interactive workplace trainings as well.   Lisa serves as the new chair of the National Board of Directors for NAWBO, is past president of the NAWBO Buffalo Niagara Chapter and is past chair of the National Presidents Assembly Steering Committee. She also serves as a U.S. Small Business Administration Region 2 Regulatory Fairness Board representative for New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.   

Lisa Crilley Mallis

Time Strategist, Impactive Strategies

Lisa is a time strategist who works with motivated and busy leaders and teams who want to take strategic action instead of being busy all the time. She prides herself on helping clients create customized, real solutions to every day time management challenges—not just regurgitating the latest trends. Lisa is also a past president of NAWBO Cleveland and is on the Board of Trustees of Leadership Geauga County.

Lena Graham-Morris

Chief Strategy Officer, Principal & Shareholder, HORUS Construction Services Inc.

Lena, The Entreprenista, is chief strategy officer, principal and shareholder of HORUS Construction Services Inc. and currently in a succession plan to take ownership of her family's third-generation construction business. The company was established by her grandfather, grandmother, great uncle and father. Today, she is working side by side with her mentor and partner, who is also her uncle. They have established strategic partnerships that have secured over $500 million in total contracts over the last five years. Lena brings over 15 years of not-for-profit experience, including key positions with PBS/NPR, Metro Orlando Urban League and the African American Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida. Lena has recently launched HORUS Academy with her partner and a team of strategic alliances. The 501©3 program offers mentor protégé assistance to small businesses. Lena currently serves as Immediate Past President for NAWBO Orlando and is the first woman of color to hold such a leadership role. 

Sertrice Grice

Co-Owner & Chief Consulting Officer, Mattingly Solutions

Sertrice is co-owner and chief consulting officer of Mattingly Solutions, a woman-owned diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) consulting firm. Co-Author of Inclusalytics, How Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Leaders Use Data to Drive Their Work, Sertrice is passionate about helping organizations use metrics to create data-driven DEI strategies that drive meaningful change. Some of her clients include DICK’s Sporting Goods, Baltimore Tracks and NAWBO. Sertrice serves clients though DEI executive advising, measurement consulting and building/delivering inclusive behavioral change solutions.

Stephanie Guerre

Director of Partnerships, Cultivate Advisors

Stephanie Guerre is the Director of Partnerships for Cultivate Advisors and oversees the relationship between Cultivate and NAWBO. With over 10 years of business development and strategic partnership experience, Stephanie is skilled at uncovering the specific needs of business owners and connecting them with the right resources to help them not only increase revenue & profit but also operate more efficiently. From creating leadership systems and developing recruiting skills to improving marketing & sales processes, Stephanie has worked with over 1,000 small business owners to increase their top line revenue on average of 43%. 

Beth Hoving

Senior VP & East Division Business Support Executive for Small Business, Bank of America

Beth is a Senior Vice President and the East Division Business Support Executive for Small Business at Bank of America. She provides chief-of-staff support across the East Division leadership team and leads a team of regional business management and operations executives aligned to each of the six regions in the East. Beth joined Bank of America in 1997 as a Commercial Banking credit analyst and has since held various roles in the Global Learning and Small Business organizations. Beth serves as a Bank of America national liaison for NAWBO and ambassador for NAWBO Charlotte. She is also a member of LEAD for Women and an ally with LGBTQ+ Pride employee networks. 

Michele Schina

CPA, Schina & Associates CPA & Co-Owner, Beyond Strategy Partners

Michele is a licensed CPA and founder of the only 100 percent woman-owned Certified Public Accounting firm in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, providing consulting, tax and accounting services. Prior to that, she served as senior manager of audit at a global accounting firm. Michele expanded her entrepreneurial footprint in recent years, becoming co-owner of BBDS, Inc., a business development firm for technology services. She is also co-owner of the strategic consulting and leadership development firm, Beyond Strategy Partners.

Lesa Seibert

CEO, Mightily

After leaving the Kroger Company in 2000, Lesa launched not one, but three successful companies, with Mightily being where she focuses her time as CEO, CFO and strategist. Mightily, founded in 2013, is one of the region’s preeminent digital-first branding and advertising agencies and provides full-service support to local, regional and global brands in the areas of web development and technology, branding and creative services and media buying, strategy and ongoing management. She is a speaker on the topics of branding, marketing, business strategy and economic development. Lesa is a past president of NAWBO Kentucky, serves as a director on the board and a member of the U.S. Policy Council of Airports Council International - North America, a director on the Louisville Regional Airport Authority Board of Directors, chair of the Kentucky Commission on Small Business Innovation and Advocacy and a director on the Greater Louisville Inc. Board of Directors.

Victoria Stevenson

Founder & CEO, Allied-SCSS

Victoria is founder and CEO of Allied-SCSS, a business development consulting firm specializing in helping minority- and women-owned businesses successfully navigate government contracting to help scale their businesses. She is a business consultant expert with more than 25 years of executive experience in supplier diversity, program management and business development. She served as executive director for companies such as JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo, Fannie Mae and Asset Management Services.   Victoria previously served as NAWBO Dallas/Ft. Worth president and is currently on the National Presidents Assembly Steering Committee. Additionally, she is on the Women of Color Committee with the Women’s Business Council Southwest (WBCS) and was recently recognized for her accomplishments as a Women Business Enterprise (WBE) with annual sales over $1 million and under $5 million that exemplifies outstanding business acumen, industry leadership and a commitment to doing business with fellow WBEs.
