Wine Tasting Tour in Downtown Spokane

Did you know that Washington is the second largest wine producing state in the country and has some of the highest rated wines in the world? Meet your guide and walk to three wineries and along the way, learn about the historic buildings downtown and some fun stories from the late 1800’s. First stop is Nectar “Downtown”, where the owner searches around the State for their featured winery each month. It’s your chance to taste some of the best Washington wines and with 900+ wineries in the state, there are lots to choose from. Next to Cougar Crest Estate Winery, an “Estate Grown” designation is closely regulated, their wines are made from grapes grown in their own vineyards and fermented, aged and bottled at their family winery. Wine Spectator has rated many of their releases 90+. Last stop is Terra Blanca Winery, located in the ornate, historic Chronicle Building, which once housed the evening newspaper. Their wines come from the famed Red Mountain AVA Region in SE Washington and they offer acclaimed reds, whites and dessert wines. Learn about the history of this classic building and look up at the “print devils” adorning the roof top.

Time: Meet at the Davenport Grand at 4pm and return to the hotel at 7:30pm or stop for dinner in one of the many downtown restaurants, with your new found friends, on the way back.
