Mariel descends from a multi-generational family of New Jersey entrepreneurs. Growing up in a small business household influenced her decision to study finance for her undergraduate work and choose corporate law as her area of concentration as an attorney. Often acting as general counsel for her clients, Mariel incorporates these experiences as well as her legal knowledge into her advice to her clients. Mariel understands that a legal analysis often is just one component of a business decision. 

As chair of Parker McCay’s corporate department, she handles a variety of legal matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate formation and development, operations, governance and compliance, and risk management. During her legal career, Mariel’s clients include small start-up companies, non-profits, small business, family organizations, as well as large, multinational, publicly traded corporations. Her legal representation of these companies has involved all facets of corporate law.

Shane Caudill is the Director of the eProcurement Bureau (eVA Program) for the Commonwealth of Virginia.  Mr. Caudill has been with the eProcurement Bureau for over fifteen years and has been involved with Virginia’s award winning electronic procurement system, eVA, since joining the bureau.  His experience with eVA is wide ranging and includes leading and directing information technology operations across broad disciplines, including procurement, software development, testing, production support, project management, database technologies, customer satisfaction, vendor relationships, strategic planning, staff development, promoting change and improvement, and technology implementation.  Mr. Caudill previously served the eVA Program as the Deputy Director, Vendor Support Manager, Catalog Manager, and Functional Lead for the eVA Quick Quote Module.  Mr. Caudill obtained his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in 2014.

Lorie Guthrie is a native of Albuquerque, New Mexico.  She and her husband, Matt Guthrie, started their journey of business ownership in 1998.  The business name is as unique as the products and services.  SuperiAire Technologies LLC started as a sewing manufacturing company.  The company manufactures custom sewn products, various parachutes and packs parachutes for large payloads for government entities.  SuperiAire is an FAA Certified Repair Station and is a 51% Certified Woman-Owned business.  Lorie Guthrie has a BS Degree in Business and years of experience in contracting and business operations. Lorie is a strong supporter of woman business owners and has been on the NM Board of Directors for the National Association of Women Business Owners for several years.  She is currently serving as President of the NM NAWBO Chapter.

Jennifer Ping, a life-long resident of Indiana, is a principal of Bose Public Affairs Group (BPAG) and Managing Director of Strategic Business Services. She brings several years of experience in government relations to the firm and focuses her practice on legislative and executive branch lobbying, federal, state and local procurement, political consulting, grassroots and grasstops consulting. She is also a principal in Bose Government Strategies, LLC (BGS) focusing on government regulatory consulting.

Prior to joining BPAG and BGS, Ping served as principal of both Bose Ping Governmental Strategies and Tabbert Hahn Ping Global Strategies where she assisted clients in several capacities, including lobbying and legislative monitoring, issue management, administrative and regulatory affairs, government procurement contracts and other client advocacy matters.

Rhett Buttle is the Founder of Public Private Strategies,  a consulting firm that is exclusively focused on where the public &  private sectors meet.  Rhett is also a Senior Fellow at The Aspen Institute in the Economic Opportunities Program.  In his role at Aspen, Rhett’s work focuses on working with a wide variety of stakeholders to reimagine our institutions to ones that more effectively allow all Americans to achieve economic security.  Rhett was the Business Engagement Director at Hillary for America serving as Secretary Clinton’s liaison and private sector advisor during her run for President. In 2014, Rhett was appointed by President Obama to The White House Business Council and served as the Director of Private Sector Engagement in the Office of the Secretary at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.  Buttle has also served in the Office of the President at George Washington University, in the Office of California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, and has worked on several presidential, state, and local campaigns.

Loreen Gilbert is an experienced wealth manager who has spent more than 25 years creating comprehensive wealth strategies for her clients. Upon graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Business Administration, she launched her career at Fidelity Investments where she assisted clients with investment management services. Gilbert then worked for a private company selling retirement plans to municipalities and their employees. She has been in private practice as a wealth manager since 1997, and is the founder and president of WealthWise Financial Services, which offers securities and investment advisory services to individuals, business owners and corporations through her affiliation as a registered principal with LPL Financial.

An inspirational business leader who founded and leads The Miami Group & Associates - a management and business consulting, and public affairs firm that helps businesses reach their next level of excellence. The Miami Group provides business and marketing strategic planning, innovative technologies, international expansion opportunities, and public policy advocacy to help grow organizations.

In 2012, Millie took a temporary leave from The Miami Group to join the Obama Administration as the U.S. Department of Labor Southeast Regional Representative for Secretary of Labor Hilda L. Solis. Responsible for amplifying key programs and initiatives of the department in the nine states of the Southeast region, she served as liaison to federal, state and local government officials and community stakeholders. During her tenure, she worked with women, veterans, LGBT, faith-based, education, farm worker, labor, and civic organizations; federal contractors, other federal agencies, and business groups on veterans’ job fairs, equal pay, awareness and prevention of human trafficking, wage theft, prevailing wage violations and misclassification of workers, and the launch of the Affordable Care Act.

Teresa Meares has 19 years of law enforcement experience and is a retired patrol sergeant with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office.  She is currently the President of DGG Uniform and Work Apparel Teresa also manages Audibelle, a clothing line launched by her daughter, Kayla Meares. The inspirational clothing line is focused on girls between the ages of 13-17 years of age. Teresa is a published author of the “Think Safe 2 Be Safe” series, with stories focused on teaching children how to stay safe.

She is Immediate Past Chair for the National Association of Women Business Owners and Board of Director for the Hubbard House. She is a Past President of the Women’s Business Owners of North Florida. Additionally, she currently serves as the Chair for the NAWBO Institute for Entrepreneurial Development, is on the Steering Committee for the World Association for Women Entrepreneurs (FCEM) and is on the advisory council for Enterprising Women Magazine.
