Goli Ameri is the co-founder of StartitUp a mobile accelerator helping entrepreneurs launch, manage and grow their business. Previously she was Under Secretary for Humanitarian Diplomacy at the International Federation of Red Cross & Red Crescent. Ms. Ameri served as the US Assistant Secretary of State-Educational and Cultural Affairs. Her previous government positions include service as a Representative to the 60th Session of the UN General Assembly and a Public Delegate to the UN Commission on Human Rights. Ms. Ameri has had extensive business and corporate experience in the field of technology, founding eTinium, a boutique consulting and market research firm specializing in the telecom industry, and as a Director at US Leasing. She received her BA and MA from Stanford University and has studied at the Sorbonne. Ms. Ameri serves on the boards of Freedom House as Chair of the Governance Committee, and the Advisory Boards of Rand Center for Middle East Policy and America Abroad Media.
She is the recipient of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor.
