This course will discuss how to build and manage client relationship – understanding your client, theirs needs and requirements.

  • Communication management: channel, frequency, verbal vs. written
  • Understanding how to ask and / or answer questions of the client

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Gilbert Buchanan, MA has:

  • Over 20 years of industry experience working with DBE/MBE/SBE firms within public works, construction, retail, service, and manufacturing environments.
  • Managed small business programs for the following public works agencies: LAMBOC - Mayor’s Office Los Angeles, MTA, Valley Economic Development Center (VEDC), LAUSD, LACCD, and EXPO.
  • Subcontractor to Sullivan International, Facilitator of EDGE Program.
  • Assisted subcontractors in obtaining more than $81 MM in contract awards.
  • Launched Supplier Diversity Program for the Latin Business Association (LBA).
  • Successfully launched multiple Small Business Boot Camps for LAUSD, LACCD, Pepperdine University, PACE, and NLBWA 2 Chapters.
  • Possess Master’s Degree in Organizational Development.
  • LA Business Journal Latino Business Advocate for 2016.
