NAWBO-LA: Women and Minorities on Boards & Holiday Party

Tuesday, November 28, 2017 - 5:30pm8:30pm

No matter where you turn in today’s climate there is a conversation around more women and minorities on boards. From nonprofit boards like NAWBO-LA to commissions to corporate boards - women and minorities are preparing themselves for service. While there is no one pathway to service our subject matter experts will share best practices, personal experiences and lessons learned. They will discuss pathways to board positions for women and minorities, including non-profit and for-profit board experience and expectations.

Our esteemed experts include:

Betsy Berkhemer-Credaire, Author of The Board Game and CEO of Berkhemer Clayton Inc, a Retained Executive Search firm and Past President of NAWBO-LA.

Yvette Chappell-Ingram, President and CEO of African American Board Leadership Institute (AABLI)

Steve Samuelian, Owner California Consulting

Jeff Sakaguchi, Corporate Board Director ACT Holdings, Inc and Lead Independent Director, True Blue Inc.; Member and Former Chairman, Board of Directors, American Red Cross, Los Angeles Region
