Q& A w/Jessica Bruny | NAWBO
Briefly describe your company.
 Jessica Bruny is the CEO/Founder of JESSBEU, LLC (JBU) which is dedicated to curating safe spaces where scholars and community members can express themselves freely and connect with others on the same journey. JBU facilitates healing circles, meditation techniques, sound baths, and enrichment programs for individuals to evolve through mindfulness. We motivate participants to recognize their inner potential and trust their progress through action and a growth mindset. Jessica is a certified Mindfulness Life Coach who has been providing her services successfully in the past 2 years locally and nationwide, helping to develop programs for scholars, corporations, and community members.
 
Why did you decide to join NAWBO-LA? 
I became a  NextGen member with NAWBO-LA to expand my reach in Southern  California. I am thankful for the women in this organization that either share words of encouragement or even resources to help me grow as a new business owner.
 
What would you like others to know about you or your business?
Compassionate millennial leader, Jessica Bruny, is living a life with purpose. She is a wellness advocate and mindfulness coach who provides meditation and sound healing to the community. Her vision includes creating wellness sanctuaries to provide affordable access to mental health services. Earning a B.A in Psychology from California State University of San Bernardino, she became an Educator post-college, working with transitional youth, serving as Program Director for Music Changing Lives (MCL), a 501(C)3 Nonprofit. In 2019, Jessica received the 30 under 30 award from the 47th district by Assemblymember Eloise Reyes, for the activism she demonstrated within her community. Jessica’s passion for healing led to her  becoming the creator/host of ‘Are You Being Gentle With Your Mental’ podcast, which has reached a global audience in 12 countries and over 150 cities. Recently she was highlighted in the Los Angeles Times for turning dreams into reality during the pandemic by establishing her business, JessBeU, LLC. Jessica has worked with California Health Collaborative leading diverse healing circles. Currently, Jessica serves on the Board of Directors for MCL and received the 2022 President's Volunteer Service Award. She is a Next Gen Member of the National Association of Business Owners (NAWBO), for whom she has written numerous articles, been a public speaker, and hosted events. As a member of the Sacramento General Women of Congress, she displayed her latest work “HOMECOMING” as part of a 3-month exhibition entitled “Activism Through The Arts'' at the Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento, CA. Her latest endeavor is to implement the program; Mindfully Giving on a collegiate level to provide wellness workshops for scholars. This initiative was first implemented in 2021 with the University of Riverside,  through the Women’s Resource Center.
