Join us for a very special evening as we honor 9 Minnesota Women Entrepreneurial Leaders and induct each one into The Minnesota Women Business Owners Hall of Fame!

The 2018 Inductees are amazing trailblazers who represent nearly 150 years of Minnesota history. They have overcome challenges and obstacles many thought impossible. Their business savvy and entrepreneurial successes have left a legacy that will impact Minnesota for years to come.
Inductees were selected because they:
  • Made enduring contributions to Minnesota's entrepreneurial community
  • Made an impact on women's entrepreneurial development in Minnesota
  • Had a meaningful connection to Minnesota (place of birth, education, and/or business location)
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities or a spirit of entrepreneurial innovation that can serve as an inspiration to future generations of Minnesota entrepreneurs
This semi-formal evening celebration will include a dinner and an inspirational induction ceremony. You will have the chance to meet and talk with these elite women!

This year's theme is "Work Well, Live Well." As women entrepreneurs, our lives are a journey, never a destination. We run successful businesses and households, give back to our communities, advocate for causes we care most about and nurture other life passions. We are constantly focusing, refocusing, pushing, pausing, inventing, reinventing, stretching andbalancing-and growing every step of the way along the many paths we take. Join your NAWBO community as we brace this exciting journey together to "work well, live well"!

"Is Certification Right For You?" Lunch & Learn

Tuesday, April 10, 2018
12:00-2:00 p.m.

Have you been looking for that special something to help you "get in the door" of large corporations? If you are a woman-owned and operated business, that something could be the Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) Certification. Although not a guarantee of business, the WBE Certification has been proven to provide a competitive edge in obtaining corporate contracts. National in scope and issued by a third-party agency Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), the WBE Certification is recognized by over a thousand major corporations and government agencies in the U.S. Attend our popular "Is Certification Right For You?" workshop to see if the leading woman's business certification is right for you. Ideal participants should be a part of a business that at least 51% owned, managed and controlled by a woman or women, and whose target market includes corporate America.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
Gain an understanding of whether or not your business could qualify for women business certifications. Learn the overall benefits of WBE certification and then be able to determine if certification will actually benefit your business. All of the local, state and federal government certifications available in Minnesota will be covered.

WHEN: Tuesday, April 10, 2018, 12:00-2:00 p.m.
Complimentary parking is available in the parking lot in front of the building.
investment:
$20 (includes a box lunch and workshop materials).
