Virtual Events August 26 - September 29

Every Wednesday at 5 p.m. ET

Grab your favorite beverage and join us by video (so we can see each other just like we would in an in-person meeting)! We’ll connect, share best practices and support one another in an interactive chat format. This is a safe space to share since the calls are not being recorded. Introduce yourself as you participate on the call.

This is what you can expect:

Each week, we will spend the first 20 minutes of the Zoom call checking in to see how we are doing. Think about sharing stories of inspiration and innovation of how you are managing during this challenging time. The call will transition to a “think tank” for us to help brainstorm and support you with business challenges resulting from the current business crisis/environment we are experiencing. We will spend the final 40 minutes of our Community Connects call using the breakout room feature to help facilitate stronger connections in smaller groups. One person will present their business challenge, then others will have the opportunity to share ideas in “popcorn style.” It will be up to the person sharing to follow-up with the various people who are problem solving. This can be done by writing down the person’s name and looking them up in the Member Directory on the website.

Register here in advance for these meetings »

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meetings.

*These sessions will not be recorded.

Virtual Lunch & Learn: “Compassionate Leadership- Getting to the Heart of What Matters"
September 8th @12pm ET

Presented by Laura Leaton- NAWBO Kentucky

Sharing my own transformational story has empowered others to trust themselves, take risks and lean into their creativity. To my surprise, this shift towards self-compassion and outwardly celebrating my authenticity, created a cascade of confidence that translated into a 30% increase in women posting for leadership positions with the company I worked for 20 years. Discovering and embodying this Truth, has provided me a sense of peace and joy. I no longer swing back and forth between the extremes of being a successful leader/business owner and being a compassionate human being. They are truly ONE.

  • Why is Compassionate Leadership so extremely critical to overall success and engagement, yet so hard to find today?
  • “Unbecoming You”:  Discover tools for peeling back the layers of past experiences that no longer serve
  • Mentoring:  Believe in Someone Before they Believe in Themselves. Lift Each Other Up.

Laura Leaton has a natural gift for helping individuals discover their inner strengths and using those strengths to achieve personal and professional success. Her passion is enrolling individuals in their vision, to create possibilities so they can take distinct action. With over 25 years of corporate leadership experience, she now owns her own business as an Executive Coach and Transformational Leadership coach and trainer.

Virtual Lunch & Learn: “Cash Flow Survival in a Crisis"
September 15th @12pm ET

Presented by Autumn Joyce - NAWBO Columbus

With the spread of COVID-19 and the constantly changing situation around the world, this is an unprecedented time for everyone. For many, this time is filled with uncertainty.

With no end in sight, it can be difficult to know how to make certain decisions for your business. The answer is not that simple, to truly understand what you need, or what can be done in the interim of this crisis, you need a plan. The key is to approach economic risk with logic not emotion, ensuring your business is safe from this crisis.

To help you extend your runway, combat uncertainty and develop a contingency plan for your business, our co-founder and CEO, Casey Clark is hosting a 1-hour webinar that outlines how to track your cash flow to make data-driven decisions based on multiple scenarios so you are prepared for anything.

In this webinar you will learn:

  • How to build your Cash Flow Pro Form as to manage your expenses and cash
  • Which levers in your business can be used to solve a gap in your cash flow
  • Scenario planning

Virtual Lunch & Learn: “She Ain’t Heavy, She’s My Sister: Leading, Working, & Growing Together"
September 29th @12pm ET

Presented by Demetria Hill Sloan- NAWBO Orlando

The presentation was inspired by the lyrics to the seventies folk song, He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother, by The Hollies. Men have carried each other up the ladder of success while most women continue to bump up against the glass ceiling. Women make up 50.8% of the US population, 47% of the US labor force, and 52.5% of the college-educated workforce, yet less than 25% in leadership positions from boardrooms to the halls of Congress. These gaps can be closed by leading, working, and growing together in an intentional way. Women can carry women up the ladder of success and remove real and perceived ceilings. At Vantage Point Coaching, we believe that the sky is only the beginning because there are galaxies yet to be explored.

Participants will be able to articulate the gaps in leadership positions and walk away with strategies to close those gaps. Participants will learn the benefits of coaching, mentoring, and sponsoring other women. Participants will learn diversity, equity, and inclusion tactics.

Demetria Hill Sloan is a certified executive leadership coach, life coach, trainer, and motivational speaker. She founded Vantage Point Coaching, LLC in 2015 to help others achieve higher levels of performance, greater business results, and more personal fulfillment. Demetria is also an author. In 2018, she self-published her first book, Pearls for the Journey: A Guide to a More Fulfilling Life which offers ten pearls of wisdom to fuel your growth and development. She resides in Orlando, FL with her family.
