Boosting Your Business Continuity During COVID-19

We need each other more than ever to stay connected, support one another and rise up from this challenging time. While NAWBO National and many of our chapters have postponed in-person events for the time being following state and national recommendations, we are thrilled to offer a regular schedule of virtual programming each week that is available to the public—so please join us and tell all your entrepreneurial women friends so they can benefit and get to know NAWBO at the same time!

These are public events; we’re all in this together and everyone is welcome!

The schedule is as follows each week and programming specifics will be announced every Friday for the week to come:

Virtual Lunch and Learn 
“How to Pivot Your Company Fast During a Crisis”
Tuesday, April 7th at 12 p.m. ET 


Company survival through the coronavirus crisis requires an ultra-fast planning cycle with coordinated execution and frequent oversight. Plan review and re-planning happens quickly as circumstances change.

You will learn:

  • The importance of crisis-based succinct vision, mission and strategies to guide you through a crisis
  • How to create super-simple lists of what to watch and track, along with what projects must get executed and by whom.
  • The role of a facilitator in this process to allow you and your team to devote more time to planning, executing and re-charging
  • How using the One Page Business Plan's Pivot system on a weekly and monthly basis will allow for tracking and record-keeping.
  • Specific coping and adjustment strategies you might apply in your firm immediately.

Presented by Megan Patton

Megan's background as a strategy consultant and her experience as a licensed One Page Business Plan consultant places her in an ideal position to teach people how to focus on the most critical things in their business to keep the company moving forward, even during a crisis. Leveraging years of cross-industry work in strategy development, alignment of goals to action, and team engagement, Megan approaches strategy as a holistic way to engage the entire organization. Megan also leverages best practices from larger organizations to help solopreneurs focus on the most critical components of their business.

Megan has served the NAWBO Cleveland chapter as a past-president, and is currently serving on the Presidents Assembly Steering Committee.

Community Connects Call
Every Wednesday at 5 p.m. ET

Grab your favorite beverage and join us by video (so we can see each other just like we would in an in-person meeting)! We’ll connect, share best practices and support one another in an interactive chat format. This is a safe space to share since the calls are not being recorded.

Each week we will spend the first 20 minutes of the Zoom call checking-in to see how we are doing. Think about sharing stories of inspiration and innovation of how you are managing during this challenging time.  The call will transition to a “think-tank” for us to help brainstorm and support you with business challenges resulting from the current business crisis/environment we are experiencing.  We will spend the final 40 minutes of our community connect call supporting up to four people each week.   A person will present their business challenge and everyone else will then have the opportunity to share ideas in “popcorn style”.

It will be up to the person sharing to follow-up with the various people that are problem solving.  This can be done by writing down the person’s name and looking them up in the Member Directory on the web site.

She is the COO of KMS.
