Washington, D.C. - The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) is announcing that Ohio State Senator Charleta B. Tavares will serve as a keynote Pathways to Public Service Panelist at the upcoming NAWBO National Women's Business Conference. The State Senator will join other women in elective office to discuss what lead them to public service and what motivates them to stay involved.
“State Senator Tavares has a long history of public service and we are pleased she can join us for this important discussion,” said Teresa Meares, NAWBO National Board Chair. “We look forward to speaking with her and hope her story will motivate more of our members to get involved in their communities.”
The NAWBO National Women's Business Conference will take place September 18th - 20th in Columbus, Ohio.
“I have a strong belief in the value of public service. I know all women business owners and particularly women of color have insight and expertise that is valuable to lawmakers,” stated Senator Tavares. “I look forward to participating in the NAWBO National Women’s Business Conference where I will share my story of public service and then get to hear from these women business owners from across the country about their priorities.”
