Suz O’Donnell, President & Executive Coach of Thrivatize LLC

Suz O’Donnell, President & Executive Coach of Thrivatize LLC, was recently quoted in the U.S. News & World Report article. Here’s an excerpt:

As we ring in a new year, along with it comes the stress of making up for time off work, new goals, and mounting responsibilities. Don't let these burdens weigh on your performance. In a recent U.S. News & World Report article, Suz Graf O’Donnell, Owner of Thrivatize LLC and NAWBO Chicago member, suggests that when it feels like you have too much on your plate, think about whether you can break your work down into more manageable chunks. “If it still seems like more than you can do well, talk to your team leader about delegating some of the work to others or prioritizing the things that are most important to the team.” For NAWBO members who may be the leader themselves, Suz suggests focusing on priority items and thinking through what tasks absolutely require your attention versus which ones can be delegated to others. "Letting go of perfectionism can help you release a lot of work from your plate, relieve stress, and also result in higher quality work." You can have someone else do the task and you can oversee the results. That way someone else spends the bulk of the time doing the activity so you can focus that time on higher priority items that need your special attention. For more recommendations for a great kickoff to the new year, read her LinkedIn blog post Top Three Activities for New Year Success, which addresses goal setting, personal brand, and finding balance to achieve everything.
