Whether your goal is to inform, persuade, or influence, professional speaking techniques will improve your oral communication, help you convey your ideas, and better collaborate with others.

In this interactive session we will discuss ways to increase credibility and connection with the audience. You will have several opportunities to practice what you’ve learned in small-group break-out sessions.

Course objectives:

  • Use proven techniques to increase your confidence and overcome nervousness
  • Intentionally use gestures, eye contact, voice tone, and rate to increase the impact of your message
  • Deliberately choose and use visual aids, such as PowerPoint, to support your message
