Registration Deadline:
January 6, 2020 - 10:00am

Happy New Year! Join NAWBO Phoenix as we celebrate the 100-year anniversary of the 19th Amendment. As the chapter continues to focus its efforts on propelling women business owners forward, let's not forget the history and the women who came before us.

“In celebration of the 100-year anniversary of the 19th Amendment, Justice Timmer will share the story of Arizona’s grant of suffrage 7 years earlier.  The story of women at the turn of last century fighting against the tide of the times provides lessons well-remembered in current struggles for parity in the work-place, government, and society.”

About the Keynote:

Justice Ann A. Scott Timmer was appointed to the Arizona Supreme Court in 2012 by Governor Janice K. Brewer. Prior to her appointment to the Arizona Supreme Court, Justice Timmer was a judge on the Arizona Court of Appeals from 200 to 2012, serving three years as Chief Judge. Before being appointed to the bench, she practiced primarily commercial law for fifteen years in Phoenix. Justice Timmer was recently elected to serve a five-year term as the Arizona Supreme Court's Vice Chief Justice effective July 1, 2019.
