NAWBO® Institute for Entrepreneurial Development Receives $10,000 Donation from The Sara Blakely Foundation

Donation Announced at Official Grand Opening and Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony Today

(Washington, D.C., November 2, 2012) — The NAWBO® Institute for Entrepreneurial Development received a $10,000 donation from The Sara Blakely Foundation today. The donation was announced during the grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting at the first-ever SPANX retail store at Tysons Corner Center. Spanx founder Sara Blakely and NAWBO President & CEO Diane Tomb were both present at the grand opening celebration.

“Sara Blakely has been a true advocate for women around the globe and has worked tirelessly to find future women entrepreneurs and leaders. We welcome Spanx to the local community and look forward to working with The Sara Blakely Foundation on our shared mission of empowering women through education and entrepreneurial training,” said Diane Tomb, NAWBO President & CEO.

The NAWBO® Institute for Entrepreneurial Development was formed in 2003 to expand the educational opportunities for emerging and established women entrepreneurs.
