Bank of America

Our partners at Bank of America are excited to share insights from their spring 2018 Bank of America Small Business Owner Report, which reveals some of the highest levels of optimism among the nation’s small business owners since they began surveying in 2012.

This spring, small business owners’ confidence in the national and local economies is at the highest level since 2015, at 54 percent and 56 percent respectively. Mirroring the optimism in the business environment, the report found entrepreneurs’ revenue projections, expansion plans and long-term growth forecasts for the upcoming year are also up, with those saying they intend to hire increasing to 22 percent.

The report also looked at the potential impact of tax reform on small businesses, as well as how increased investments in technology are set to transform the small business landscape, including digital payments, which the majority believe will completely replace cash within the next five years. As Bank of America continues to work in partnership with NAWBO to advance the opportunities, goals and impact of women entrepreneurs, they are also excited to release the third iteration of the annual Women Business Owner Spotlight this summer. This new research will take the pulse on the perspectives, aspirations and pain points of women entrepreneurs nationwide. Bank of America will share the upcoming findings and discuss them with NAWBO and our members at the 2018 National Women’s Business Conference in Spokane this September.
