Shawn Jough is the founder of Strategic HR Advisory, a boutique HR consulting firm that partners with small businesses to create strategies to align culture and compliance. She has 20 years of experience in human resources and is SPHR and SHRM-SCP certified. Examples of services include HR risk assessments, employee handbooks, HR packages for growing businesses, and outsourced human resources. Prior to forming Strategic HR, Shawn served as the Vice President of Human Resources for 10 years for a hospitality management company with over 600 employees. She is passionate about helping business owners succeed and giving them the peace of mind that they are doing things right for their employees.
She has a B.A. in International Business from San Diego State University (Go Aztecs!) and will receive her Masters in Organizational Leadership in the Spring of 2021. Giving back is an important part of her personal mission, and she enjoys mentoring young professionals and providing pro-bono consulting to non-profits through the Taproot Foundation. Shawn is a San Diego native and spends most of her free time enjoying beautiful San Diego with her husband and two little boys.
