The tour will take place at ChemE Queen Bee, a woman-owned product development and small-batch manufacturing lab in the heart of San Diego. The facility matches their boutique clientele with a high-end product development and branding experience.  They have created hundreds of formulation recipes and a host of products for clients in industries including beauty and wellness, food and beverage, and sports and nutrition.  Their CEO, Christine Klahn, has created a boutique one-stop shop for product development through scale-up and manufacturing, and she works exclusively with the highest quality natural ingredients and the latest technology to outperform the competition.

Meet the Founder and CEO of ChemE Queen Bee

Christine Klahn is the Founder and CEO of ChemE Queen Bee, a Product Development and Small Batch Manufacturing Company in San Diego, California. She has spent the past six years creating hundreds of formulation recipes and a host of products for clients in industries including beauty and wellness, food and beverage, and sports and nutrition. Christine has created a boutique one-stop shop for product development through scale-up and manufacturing, and she works exclusively with the highest quality natural ingredients and the latest technology to formulate the cleanest, safest, and most effective consumer products on the market.  

Christine’s celebrity clients include Ashley Greene Khoury’s Hummingway PMS patches, and Mike Tyson’s Orange Punch Tyson 2.0 x ClickSpray Oral Spray collaboration. Several of her formulations have won notable industry awards. Christine’s favorite clients, however, are other bootstrap entrepreneurs, particularly women, people of color, and veterans, who wish to add their own line of products to their existing small businesses.

Christine holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Chemical Engineering and has worked for over 25 years in industry and academia. She is a member of  Mensa, American Chemical Society, Aggie Women’s Engineering Network, Society of Cosmetic Chemists, and NC Phi Beta Lambda Association.
