In addition to offering mentoring for smaller companies, BusinessAdvising.org is looking for skills-based mentors and advisors from a range of fields, including finance, marketing, operations, and beyond, who want to help get small business owners to the next level.
Nearly half of women entrepreneurs state they lack available mentors –- yet mentoring can make a big difference. According to the U.S. Small Business Administration, half of all small businesses fail within their first five years. But for small business owners with a mentor, the difference is striking: 70% of small businesses that receive business advising survive to the ten-year mark, double the rate for non-mentored small businesses.
